Cultivation under shelter
The cultivation of vegetables in boxes or tunnels or other forms of shelter requires careful consideration of various aspects, in order to obtain an anticipated production on normal seasonality. For example, using the box bed, consisting of a square of wooden planks closed by a glass cover, it will have to be oriented towards the south to obtain the maximum insolation. In the colder months it will be possible to add at the bottom of the manure, above which a layer of soil will be placed. Closing the lid, the fermentation of the manure will heat the temperature, favoring, favoring the cultivation. Another method widely used is the cultivation in greenhouses, even unheated, which thanks to the insolation guarantees comfortable cultivation conditions. A simpler solution is constituted by tunnels of plastic sheets supported by metal arches, under which cultivation will proceed.
